Hi my name is Joseph Montalvo. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. I earned my master's degree at Central Connecticut State University.
I'm a bilingual Spanish-speaking therapist who works with a wide range of clients including children, teenagers, adults, families, and couples who are facing issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, family conflict, loss, and trauma. I have multiple years of experience working with the unique challenges of foster, adoptive, and kinship families. I have vast experience supporting professional and collegiate athletes and the issues they face. I aim to address the psychological, biological, and spiritual needs of each individual. I use multiple therapeutic modalities that best align with my client's strengths.
Joseph is currently practicing as a Marriage and Family Therapist, a Men’s Clinical Program Director at a pregnancy center, and a Licensed School-Based Mental Health Clinician.
Joseph currently facilitates training ranging from domestic violence, youth mental health, infertility struggles, foster and adoption, parenting, and fatherhood.
Joseph has been a keynote speaker for several nonprofit organizations in the human services field. He also travels to third world countries to speak on the effects of trauma.
